Handbuilding - Intro (Thursdays@6:30pm)

Course Description

!NO CLASSES + STUDIO CLOSED 11/25 - 12/1! In this beginner friendly/mixed level six week course, you'll explore the fundamentals and endless opportunities of handbuilding. We'll go through the whole ceramic-making process through making and forming, surface design and texture, and glazing. This class is perfect for both artistic sculptural work as well as functional. Those with experience are also welcome to advance on their handbuilding skills. What's included: - Weekly two hour classes (total of six sessions) with hands-on instruction - Open studio access for the entire six week duration of the course (See our Studio Guidelines for hours) - up to 25lbs of practice clay and firing of 6 pieces per student with the option to pay a firing fee for additional pieces - glaze + tools Please read our Studio Guidelines and Course Syllabi here before booking: www.kollektivclaystudio.com/studioguidelines Max of 10 students per class. All classes open to ages 18+ BOOKING AS A PAIR? Make sure you book under one booking to make sure you both get in. *By enrolling in a handbuilding class, you agree to practice only handbuilding skills throughout the duration of the course. Wheel throwing should be done in it's respectable courses.* Make-Up Classes: - No make-up classes available. - FIRST + LAST CLASS ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY! (if you end up having to miss the last week, students will have to book a 1 hour private session ($75) to learn how to glaze at our studio.) - We recommend students do not miss any classes as each leads to the next.
